thanks to honestlywtf.com, i have been introduced to and fallen in love with wedges that came about through julian louie and aldo's collaboration for julian louie's spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection.



i absolutely love the bottom right pair! such great colors. just think of all the outfits!

the oscars!

as much as i cringed during its hosting, the oscars did provide for a great fashion show. and while there were some hits and misses, like johansson's dress or portman's tassel earrings, i think most every one was on board to not make my eyes bleed. here are some of my favorites:

decorating his apartment!

so, the boy i've been {kind of} seeing has officially gotten a job down in our hometown, and will be {contractually, yay} here for three years. we have gone apartment hunting for him, and he is set to move in in june. i, on the other hand, have been preoccupied with the decor. he thinks i'm kidding when i tell him i'm going to use his money to decorate. i'm not.

i have fallen in love with west elm, and their gorgeous and cheap items. seeing as how he's very much a male, i love their more simple items for his place. also, because he already has most of the furniture, i would really only be buying some details. these are the items i hope to sell him on:

i really hope he lets me decorate at least the bathroom. even though we're not official, we have been spending almost all of our time together, so i would also have to endure this apartment. the least he can do is let me decorate the bathroom!

not only do these amazing people sell discontinued make up {they have a searchable database!} but if they don't offer a shade that you're interested in, you can send in a sample of the discontinued product, and they will blend you exact replicas! when i found this site, it very honestly blew my mind!

2. Etsy of Studio Legohead


the wonderfully talented folks over at Studio Legohead sell dog portraits in colorful accessories and clothing, and even take custom orders of your best friend {$80}! how adorable is that pug in Pucci? it's only $4.00!

vogue!

while the boy is off ignoring me during this our holiest of holidays, the Superbowl {i admit i'm mildly paying attention to it}, i'll update about a tumblr i have recently fallen in love with. none other than that of Vogue. they compile images from fashion shows, give behind-the-scene looks on cover shoots, profile women and their favorite 5 looks, and they even get nostalgic with old vogue prints.
